Our Story

An estimated 15 million babies are born too early every year. That is more than 1 in 10 babies. Well, I was one of those babies. I came into this world a fighter. I was born at 26 weeks and weighed 1 lb and 7 oz and I was the size of a dollar bill. There were a lot of setbacks and times when my future looked non-existent. But eventually, through faith and prayer of family and friends and a wonderful team of doctors and nurses, I was able to pull through.

Skip ahead to 2008, 23 years later. My husband and I were graduating with our bachelor’s degrees and we really wanted our daughter to celebrate with us. I looked and looked and could not find a cap and gown small enough to fit my precious 3-month-old. That is when I decided to make my own. I was able to walk across the stage and receive my diploma holding my little girl, all dolled up in her very own cap and gown. At the same time I also created our signature Luvi Blanket for my daughter for Christmas. It was her favorite stuffed animal and blanket rolled into one. With that…in April of 2009, Kinder Keepsakes was born.

For the next few years it was more of a fun hobby. But then in 2014 we really decided to make this into something bigger than ourselves! Through hard work and dedication it has allowed Kinder Keepsakes to flourish.

We focus on three things in our business: memories, snuggles and celebration. Our mission is to provide babies and families a way to celebrate beating the struggles and hard times that they have gone through while they were in the NICU.   We want to focus on the celebration and the opportunity, that though there was hardship–they persevered and were able to fight for a second chance.  With your help we are able to give them their own cap and gown to celebrate their “graduation” from the NICU!  We created  “NICU GRAD Project” to help those families in need and we are so grateful that we are able to share in those sweet moments with those incredible families. 

I believe in our brand, our mission and what we are and will become. Every day I look forward to bringing smiles and joy to families and children everywhere. One memory, one snuggle and one celebration at a time.
